Next Gen/Emerging Leaders
Emily Davis has spent the last three years heavily involved in the next gen issues within the sector ranging from family philanthropy to nonprofits and more! Emily's research, Preparing the Path to Leadership, has informed her trainings and collaborations with organization such as Craigslist Foundation, Young Nonprofit Professionals Network, Resource Generation, 21/64, Council on Foundations, San Diego Grantmakers, Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy (EPIP), the Giving Insitute, and Hodge Cramer and Associates, Inc.
Emerging leaders (those 35 - 40 and younger) play a CRITICAL roll in the success of individual nonprofit organizations and the sector as a whole. Multi-Generational Family Philanthropy
Based on the 21/64 model, Emily Davis also serves as a consultant to family foundations interested in exploring multi-generational family philanthropy. Engaging every generation in grantmaking can be a difficult task, but through a well-executed process and innovative support truly leveraging every generation can increase the impact your family offers to the community. Emily has worked with foundations such as the Lawrence Welk Family Foundation to make multigenerational family philanthropy a value in grantmaking.
